One week later, Moderna \u2014 which designed its vaccine candidate in just two days \u2014 boasted a 94.5% effectiveness rating<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_-9210009895390281203yiv2727504558bcr_rptStory_cslStory_1\">Clinical trial data leave out crucial information, such as the cycle threshold used for the PCR testing, whether \u201ccases\u201d had symptoms or not, and how long the vaccine lasts if protective<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_-9210009895390281203yiv2727504558bcr_rptStory_cslStory_2\">None of the COVID-19 trials for which we have data are designed to find out whether the vaccine reduces hospitalization rates or deaths.
