less than one-third \u2014 only 28.8% \u2014 of U.S. children in this age group have received the first two doses of this experimental gene therapy<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span id=\"m_4232541567589471489bcr_rptStory_cslStory_1\">Effectiveness of COVID-19 shots in children wanes rapidly;
