What happens next is up to us — the package is poised for a vote in the Senate. With the chamber split 50-50, any vote we get through is going to have razor-thin margins. This could move quickly. We’re asking for your help to help get these bills passed. Help fund our campaign — every contribution is being triple matched right now.

The package — called the Protecting America’s Wilderness and Public Lands Act — could permanently protect millions and millions of acres of public land and rivers around the country.

Included in the package is a bill that would protect more than 1 million acres of federal land around the Grand Canyon. This is an urgent fix. During the Obama administration, the Interior Department banned new uranium mining claims, but the policy was temporary and constantly under threat from the Trump administration.

This bill would permanently block efforts to expand uranium mining. The Havasupai Tribe has fought for this tooth and nail — these mining efforts are a grave threat to its primary water source.

Revealed: Monsanto and US Officials Have Pressured Mexico to Drop Glyphosate Ban

OCA’s sister organizations in Mexico, Asociación de Consumidores Orgánicos and Vía Orgánica, have been active for over a decade in campaigns to ban GMOs and Monsanto/Bayer’s toxic pesticide glyphosate in Mexico.

 

We’ve provided funds and staff to successful campaigns such as Sin Maíz no Hay País, (Without Corn There is No Country), as well as a campaign working with Mayan communities and organic honey producers in the Yucatan to ban GMO soybeans.

We’ve pressured Maseca, Mexico’s largest tortilla company, to stop putting imported GMO corn into their products.

We’ve won major court battles against GMO corn and soybeans; and along with 300 other farm, environmental, indigenous, and organic organizations, we’ve been lobbying the Mexican government to ban glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup herbicides), which they recently announced would be phased out by 2024.

Now, recent documents reveal that the US government and Monsanto have made outrageous efforts to bully Mexico’s government into reversing their ban on glyphosate.

According to Ahmed, Mercola, OCA, and others who question the safety and necessity of a COVID-19 vaccine may be prone to violent extremism. This defamatory statement clearly has no basis in reality whatsoever. Rather, it’s part of the propaganda aimed at destroying the opposition—in this case the opposition to the technocrats driving the Great Reset agenda, which spans across social, economic and health related sectors.

It’s hard to imagine how a dry, degraded desert could be the key to reversing global warming, but a new initiative called The Billion Agave Project proposes to do just that.

The Billion Agave Project is a game-changing agroforestry and holistic livestock management system that farmers in the high-desert region of Guanajuato MX have recently developed. This strategy combines the growing of agave plants and nitrogen-fixing companion tree species (such as mesquite), with holistic rotational grazing of livestock. The result is a high-biomass, high forage-yielding system that works well even on degraded, semi-arid lands.

And on top of all of that, this agroforestry system is capable of drawing down and storing massive amounts of atmospheric CO2. In fact, one of the goals of the Billion Agave Project is to draw down and store one billion tons of climate-destabilizing CO2!

  • Initial modeling predicted COVID-19 would have a fatality rate of 2% to 3%. In reality, it’s nowhere near that, except for the elderly. One research team puts the overall infection fatality rate for all age groups at 0.32%
  • Modelers were also incorrect when they predicted that 70% to 80% would get infected before herd immunity would naturally allow the spread of infection to taper off. More than a dozen scientists now claim the herd immunity threshold is below 50%, perhaps even as low as 10%
  • Since lockdowns are a public health intervention aimed at saving lives, both the benefits and the costs of this strategy must be calculated and taken into account
  • The cost for lockdowns in Canada, in terms of Quality Adjusted Life Years and Wellbeing Years, is at least 10 times greater than the benefit. In Australia, the minimum cost is 6.6 times higher, and in the U.S., the cost is estimated to be at least 5.2 times higher than the benefit of lockdowns
  • Researchers have estimated that in order to “break even and make a radical containment and eradication policy worthwhile,” the infection fatality rate of SARS-CoV-2 would need to be 7.8%
