The Board of Forestry is taking public comments on the fate of Jackson State Forest, one of our very last ancient Redwood Forests on Earth during the next two days. Please write to the above address and let them know it is imperative to halt all destruction of our last Forests now.
Dear Board of Forestry,
We are in Environmental Emergency conditions now: Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and fires are driven by destroying Forests. We are in the 6th Mass Extinction now! We simply can’t afford to keep destroying the Earth!
We need to permanently halt all logging processes on Jackson State Forest now!
Only 4% of ancient Redwood Forest remains on Earth. Redwoods resist fire, bring down Water, produce Air, prevent soil erosion, provide homes to our last birds, our last animals and insects, and provide Beauty and Inspiration, NONE OF WHICH WE CAN LIVE WITHOUT. We simply cannot afford to allow the destruction of any more ancient Trees in Jackson Forest. Period. We need Water, Air, Love and Integrity. We can’t just take from the Earth and destroy her when we all need her to survive!
We need good faith governance between the Pomo tribe and the state of California, too.
May Courage, Love and Integrity prevail,
Loriel Golden
and
the Ancient Forest
